For this method, users need to install the YouTube app on their Android or iOS device. The application is officially available on the Google Play Store and Apple Store, respectively. To cast YouTube videos, your casting device (Andriod or iOS) and Chromecast must be on the same WiFi network.
Step 1: Open the YouTube app.
Step 2: Tap the Cast icon located on the top of the screen.
Step 3: Nearby Chromecast devices will appear on the device.
Step 4: Tap the device name to initiate the connection.
Step 5: Once the connection was made, you will receive “Ready to cast to Chromecast” notification on the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Now, search and select the video that you want to cast.
Step 7: Tap the Play icon.
Step 8: That’s it. The video will be played on the Chromecast connected TV.
Chromecast YouTube Videos using Windows and Mac
For this method, you need to install Chrome Browser on your Windows or Mac PC. Just like the previous method, your PC and Chromecast must be on the same WiFi network to cast YouTube videos.
Step 1: Open the Chrome browser.
Step 2: Visit YouTube.com on the URL bar and sign in with your Google credentials.
Step 3: Select the YouTube video that you want to cast.
Step 4: Tap the Cast button.
Step 5: Select the Chromecast device.
Step 7: Once the connection was made, the video will cast on the TV.
