How to Download Your Facebook Data
Follow the steps below to download the data of your Facebook account.
Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account.
Step 2: On the top right, next to your name click the down arrow.
Step 3: Click Settings.
Step 4: Click Your Facebook Information from the left side bar.
Step 5: Then click on Download Your Information.
You can select the type of information you want to download from Facebook. You can choose the date range from which time you would like to download your data. Then the type of file (HTML or JSON) in which you would like to receive your data. And finally the media quality of the photos and videos on your profile.

Also under the Your Information tab, you can select the specific type of data from your account to download, like posts, comments, friends, messages, etc. Select this according to your need and click Create File.
Once you did that, switch to the Available Files tab, where you will see the message “We’ll let you know when it’s complete, so you can download it to your preferred device. You can cancel this process before the file is complete.”

Facebook will notify you once the file is ready to download. The file will have a password protected access and will only be available for a few days.
