Step 1: Open Chrome web store and add Block Site extension to your browser.

Step 2: After adding the extension, you will be prompted to agree with the privacy policy of Block Site. Click Agree to continue.

Step 3: Now, open a new tab and navigate to the website that you want to block.

Step 4: Select the Block Site extension and tap Block this site.

Step 5: You will get a confirmation message stating that the website was blocked.

Step 6: To unblock the blocked website, click the extension again -> select Edit block list -> tap the minus icon located next to the respective website.

How to Block Websites on Google Chrome [Android Mobiles & Tablets]

Unlike desktop, Google Chrome on Android mobiles & tablets doesn’t supports extensions. Hence, you need to download Block Site app from the Google Play Store. The application works only on devices running Android 4.1 & later.

Step 1: Launch the downloaded Block Site app.

Step 2: While launching the app for the first time, you need to go through few on-screen procedures.

Step 3: Tap the green colour + icon on the bottom right corner.

Step 4: Type the website url on the required field and click + icon located next to the respective website on the search results.

 

Step 5: Tap Done.

Step 6: That’s it. You have blocked that site. From now, you can’t access that site on Chrome or any other browser that you installed on your device.

Step 7: To Unblock, open the blocklist app -> tap the Block List section -> click the delete icon located next to the website.

How to Block Websites on Google Chrome (iPhone & iPad)

Unlike Android, only a few apps on Apple Store provide you access to block websites on Chrome. Among them, Zero Willpower is one of the efficient tools which let’s block the distracting websites on Safari, Chrome, and other web browsers installed on your iPhone and iPad.

Zero Willpower is an premium application and you need to pay $1.99 to download this app. You can also download and use Website Blocker to block sites on iOS devices.
