How to Activate AirPrint on MacBook
Before starting the process, ensure your Mac and Printer have a stable internet connection to avoid interruption later.
1. Launch the document you wish to print on your MacBook.
2. Now, choose File >> Print or Command.
3. Under the pop-up menu, choose Printers & Scanners.
4. Further, select your AirPrint Enabled Printer under the Nearby Printers.
5. Before printing, you can change your print jobs as per your requirement and tap Print.
- If you can’t find your printer under the Nearby Printer, you can add the printer manually on your Mac.
- To add printer manually, choose your Apple Device >> System Preference >> Printers & Scanners >> tap + to add your printer.

How to Enable iOS AirPrint Support on Windows
1. First, tap the Start button and choose Devices and Printer.
2. To identify your printer, right-click the icon and tap Printer properties.
3. Then, choose the Sharing tab and check the box beside Share this printer. After checking, hit the Ok button to proceed.

4. If your machine doesn’t have iTunes, you must install the Bonjour Print Service. You can download this directly from Apple.
5. Once Bonjour gets installed, ensure that UDP port 5353 is open if you have a firewall.
6. Now, install the AirPrint components. Once the file gets downloaded and extracted, run the AirPrint Installer.
7. Further, right-click on the file and choose Run as administrator.
7. Tap the AirPrint Service button and ensure that the Service Startup selection is set as Auto. Then click the Start button.
Note: Once the setup is over, you can test AirPrint using Safari and the Bookmark button or the Mail with the Reply button. Then, you will find a Print option under the pop-up menu. Choose your Printer and touch Print.
How to Fix No AirPrint Printers Found Error
Sometimes you will see No AirPrint Printers Found on your screen. You will see this error if your printer and device are on different wireless networks. So you can try these fixes to solve these issues.
- Move your router closer to the printer and verify the interference.
- Verify that the printer has its wireless connection switched on.
- Make sure that your iOS device is not in AirPlane mode.
- Check all your devices are on the same wireless network
- Ensure that your iPhone/iPad and printer are running the updated software.
- Turn off both devices and wait for a few seconds. Now, turn them on again.
