1. Turn on your Vizio TV connected to the Dish set-top box, and press the Home button on its remote twice. If you use a 40.0 series remote, press the Menu button once and go to the respective screen.

1. Turn on your Vizio TV and point the Dish remote to it.
2. Hold the TV Mode button till all 4 mode buttons flash simultaneously. After this, release the button.
3. Then, press the Power button on the remote and start the scanning process.
4. Now, click the Up button to start scanning all the codes.
5. Keep pressing the Up button until you find the correct remote codes for your Vizio TV. Your TV goes off when you’ve found the correct code.
6. Now, tap the # button on your remote and save those codes.
7. After this, press the Power button to turn on your TV.
8. Once it gets turned on, you can control your Vizio TV using a Dish remote.
