How to Delete Your Strava Account in Two Minutes

Strava is one of the health and fitness tracking applications which users can access to keep track of their exercises, fitness programs, etc. You can chat and share your daily routines with friends & other users. When you feel the Strava account is not anymore, you can delete it permanently. And keep in mind that the deletion process is irrevocable. When you delete your Strava account, all your personal information, Segments, routes, and the leaderboard will be deleted permanently. Before deleting the account, you need to cancel the Strava Subscription. Otherwise, you will be charged even after deleting the account.

How to Cancel Subscription on Strava Account

You should cancel the Strava account subscription before deleting the account to stop paying for the account automatically. Deleting the app will not cancel your subscription.

On Android Devices (via Google Play)

• On your Android mobile, Open Google Play Store.
• Tap on your profile icon and go to Payments& Subscriptions.
• Select Subscriptions.
• Choose Strava from the list.
• Tap the Cancel Subscription option and follow the on-screen prompts to complete.

On iPhone (via iTunes)

• Navigate to Settings on your iPhone.
• Tap on your profile name at the top of the page.
• Select Subscriptions.
• Choose Strava from the list and tap the Cancel Subscription option.

Through the Website

• Head to Strava.com and log in to your account.
• Hover to the Settings icon.
• Select the My Account option.
• Tap Downgrade to the free plan option.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process.

How to Delete a Strava account Using a Web browser

Deleting your Strava account will erase all the information. So, back up all the required data and information.

#1. Go to Strava’s official site on your web browser.

#2. Enter your email address & password and tap the Log In button.

If you have signed up with Apple, Google, or Facebook account, click on the respective button and enter the necessary credentials.

#3. Tap on your profile icon at the top right corner of the screen.

#4. Select Settings from the drop-down menu list.

#5. Choose My Account on the left sidebar.

#6. Under Download or Delete Your Account section, tap the Get Started button at the bottom of the page.

#7. Tap the Request Your Archive button.

#8. Tick on the I downloaded or don’t want to download my data check box.

#9. Hit Request Account Deletion.

#10. Open your associated email account and search for the email from Strava. Open the email and click the Delete Your Account button.

#11. Finally, tap Delete your account on the pop-up screen.

It will take up to 90 days to delete your Strava account permanently. Once the deletion is confirmed, it is not reversible. Your account and data cannot be downloaded or recovered.

How to Delete a Strava Account Using the Mobile App

1). Launch the app on your Android or iPhone devices.

2). Tap on the gear icon at the top right corner.

3). Choose the Delete Your Account option.

4). If prompted, log in to your account using the necessary credentials.

5). Tap the Request Your Archive button.

6). Tick on the I downloaded or don’t want to download my data check box.

7). Tap the Request Account Deletion button.

8). Open your associated email account and search for the email received from the Strava team. Then, open the email and click the Delete Your Account button.

9). On the pop-up screen, tap the Delete your account button to delete your Strava account permanently.
