How to Reset Your Uber Password

It is very common that we tend to forget our passwords most of the time. If you have forgotten the current password of Uber, the developer provides an option to reset your password by using the app or website. However, you should know the email address linked with your account to reset the password.

Note – You don’t need to access the reset password when you know the current password. Head to your account settings and change the password of Uber immediately.

How to Reset Uber Password Using App

[1] Open the Uber app on your mobile.

[2] If you’re logged in, click the three horizontal lines > Settings > Sign Out.

[3] Enter the phone number linked to your Uber account and click on the right arrow at the bottom.

[4] Now, click I forgot my password option below the password field.

[5] Enter the email address linked to your Uber account and click on the right arrow at the bottom.

[6] You will now be notified that you would have received a password reset email. Click OK.

[7] Head over to your email inbox and click the email from Uber.

[8] Click the Reset your Password option in that email.

[9] Enter your new password and confirm the same. Click Next.

[10] Your password has been successfully reset and now login to your Uber account with the new password.

How to Reset Uber Password Using Website

[1] Visit the Uber Website on your browser.

[2] Click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner.

[3] Click the Sign-in option and choose Rider Sign in.

[4] Click on the Forgot Password option at the bottom.

[5] Enter the email address linked with your Uber account and click Next.

[6] You will now receive a password reset email to your email address. Hence navigate to the email inbox and open the email you received from Uber.

[7] Click the Reset your Password option in the email.

[8] Now enter your new password and confirm the same and click Next.

[9] Click the log in as a Rider option.

[10] Login with the newly changed password.

1) Why can’t I reset my password in uber?

Once you receive the reset password link, you should reset the password within a few minutes. If not, the link will be invalid and you have to request a new link.

If you don’t have the email account used in the uber app, go to Account and Payment and select Request a ride. Now, click Forgot my password option. Uber will send a verification code to your linked mobile number and enter the verification code in the app to reset the password.
