Age Prerequisites for Nintendo Accounts
Before creating a Nintendo account, there are some prerequisites based on the user’s age.
- You can create a Nintendo account if your age is 13 and above.
- If you are above 18 years, you can create upto 5 Nintendo Child accounts under yours.
- Users whose age is 12 and below can’t create a Nintendo account. They can create an account on Nintendo under a parent/guardian account.
How to Sign Up for a Nintendo Account
1. Open a browser on your smartphone or PC and go to Nintendo’s official website.
2. Click on Log in / Sign Up in the top right corner.
3. Click on Sign Up again.
4. You will lead to the Nintendo Account Creation page.
5. Select your Date of Birth and click on Submit. Also, note that you can’t change your date of birth later once you submit.
6. Now, you will be given two options. You can create an account by connecting to a social media account like Google, Facebook, Twitter, or Apple.
7. If you don’t like to create an account by linking your social media account, you can sign up by filling out the necessary details below it.
8. Fill in your nickname, email address, password, confirm password, gender, country, and time zone.
9. Tick the check box if you wish to receive emails regarding offers, game news, etc. In addition, you need to tick the User Agreement and Privacy Policy as it is mandatory.
10. After filling in all the details, click on Submit.
11. A verification code will be sent to your email address. Enter the code into the box. Then, click Verify.
12. Finally, your Nintendo account will be created. Click on OK.
Now, you can navigate the site, purchase your favorite game and enjoy playing on your device.
If you prefer to play on another gaming platform, you can delete your Nintendo account permanently.
How to Add Family Members to Your Nintendo Account
1. Click on your Profile icon in the top-right corner.
2. Then, click on Account Settings.
3. On the left, click on Family Group.
4. Click Add Member.
5. Finally, you add your family member by inviting them through their respective email address, or you can create an account if the user is under 13 years old.
